My strategy for winning an awesome new domain on auction was based on the well know technique of sniping. I had carefully placed reminders all over, and…     Read more »

The new Software as a Living is coming soon

June 12, 2013 |  4 responses

After several weeks of reading tons of blogs about search engine optimization, long tail keywords, page ranks and related topics I came to the realization that I’m not using any of those techniques for this site and could be missing out on some benefits because of that. Although initially my focus was for this blog…     Read more »

BlackBerry announced a while ago that they were giving away free PlayBooks to Android developers who published their apps for their PlayBook tablet. I ran to the challenge and was able to meet their deadline by submitting the French version of the language flashcards. A shiny new PlayBook arrived at my door a few days…     Read more »

This is just a quick post to let you know that the Live Stats page is now live! In preparing for my first monthly income report I was able to get this running. It currently shows total sales in dollars, total unit sales count, and sales by country for the last 30 days (not the…     Read more »

What’s the lifetime value of an app user?

January 31, 2012 |  8 responses

While working on some updates on my flashcard apps, I’ve been giving a lot of thought on how to better monetize the relatively good moment my flashcard app is having. More specifically, I’ve been wondering if you can reach a point in downloads after which having only a free (ad supported) full version makes more…     Read more »
